Description
Applications and Uses: Our extinguishing “grenade” functions similarly to the standard MPH-5 with a 360-degree range and is additionally equipped with a throwing handle. This is activated by pulling a pin and is immediately ready for use without sensors. The module must be thrown close to the source of the fire to extinguish it effectively.
TUNGUS fire extinguishing modules are used for automatic fire suppression in Class A (solid), B (liquid), and C (gaseous) fires.
The MPH modules can be used in a wide variety of applications and for diverse requirements.
The extinguishing powder is harmless to people, animals, electronics, and the environment. It is easily removable and disposable.
Functional principle
The TUNGUS module is activated by an electrical pulse, which can be triggered electronically or manually by a TUNGUS thermal sensor or a TUNGUS manual sensor. Alternatively, the TUNGUS module can also be activated by any other power source that provides the pulse current.
Upon receiving the pulse, the generated cold gas expands rapidly using the gas generator integrated into the module, creating the necessary pressure inside the pressure vessel (the TUNGUS module). The internal pressure then carefully ruptures the membranes at the module’s opening, using a built-in cutting mechanism, thus ensuring the rapid discharge of the extinguishing powder.
